Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs — SENSA™ by Cognivance

Who is Cognivance?

Cognivance is a UK-based inclusion consultancy specialising in neurodiversity in the workplace. We partner with organisations to build sustainable, internal capacity for inclusive leadership and support, using a blend of strategic expertise, clinical insight, and lived experience.

What is the SENSA™ Programme?

SENSA™ is Cognivance’s flagship neuro-inclusion programme. It equips internal champions — called SENSA champions — to recognise, respond to, and remove barriers for neurodivergent employees. The programme embeds inclusion into culture, policy, and practice across the entire employee lifecycle.

What makes SENSA™ different from other DEI training?

Unlike generic diversity sessions, SENSA™ is specifically focused on neurodivergence and built to last. It goes beyond awareness by training selected employees to lead change from within. The programme is grounded in clinical expertise and lived experience, ensuring both empathy and effectiveness.

Who should take part in the SENSA™ Programme?

SENSA™ is designed for organisations that want to take a proactive, structured approach to neuro-inclusion. It’s particularly effective for HR teams, people managers, DEI leads, and operational staff who want to turn inclusion from policy into everyday practice.

Is the programme delivered in person or remotely?

We offer full flexibility. SENSA™ can be delivered in person, online, or as a hybrid — depending on your needs and team structure. All digital content is SCORM-compatible for Learning Management System (LMS) integration, and lifetime access is included for core materials.

How long does the programme take to implement?

SENSA™ typically follows a phased rollout: champion selection and preparation, two months of structured training, followed by a pilot and wider delivery. However, each organisation’s timeline is tailored to their size, pace, and internal capacity.

What topics or conditions does SENSA™ cover?

SENSA™ includes deep training on ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, Tourette’s Syndrome, and co-occurring conditions. It also covers executive function, sensory processing, communication differences, and workplace adjustment strategies.

What are the benefits of working with Cognivance?

Cognivance doesn’t just deliver training — we build long-term, embedded capability within your organisation. You benefit from our strategic expertise, clinically-informed content, and a delivery team that blends professional experience with personal insight into neurodivergence.

What support is available after the training?

Ongoing support includes access to updated resources, regular check-ins, and optional supervision or coaching for your SENSA champions. Our goal is to ensure you stay equipped to lead neuro-inclusion effectively over the long term.

Can the SENSA™ Programme be adapted to our organisation?

Absolutely. We tailor the content, delivery method, and implementation strategy based on your sector, team size, culture, and regional context. SENSA™ is currently used in UK-specific formats, but is also adaptable for global teams.
