Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs — SENSA by Cognivance

Who is Cognivance?

Cognivance is a UK-based organisational design and neuro-inclusion consultancy.
We help organisations reduce friction, strengthen predictability and build internal capability through psychologically informed, system-level approaches.

What is the SENSA Programme?

SENSA is Cognivance’s flagship neuro-inclusion programme — an eight-module, system-level framework that trains and licenses internal SENSA Practitioners.
They learn to diagnose friction, redesign workflows and embed neuro-inclusive practice across culture, processes and everyday work.

What makes SENSA different from other DEI or neurodiversity training?

SENSA isn’t awareness training. It’s a design standard for neuro-inclusion.
Instead of delivering one-off sessions, we build internal expertise through a formal practitioner pathway, structured supervision, licensed toolkits and a method designed for fidelity.
It focuses on system friction, clarity and predictable ways of working — not traits or labels.

Who should take part in the SENSA Programme?

SENSA is for organisations ready to build internal, long-term capability.
Practitioners are typically respected team members with strong judgement, communication skill and the ability to influence culture — not necessarily HR or DEI staff.
Leaders can also join “SENSA Lite for Leaders” for an executive overview.

How is the programme delivered?

All training is delivered live — virtually or in person — by the SENSA team.
The programme includes eight modules, piloting, supervised delivery, and rollout support.

How long does implementation take?

Most organisations complete practitioner training and pilot delivery within two to three months, followed by full organisational rollout.
The timeline depends on size, pace and internal capacity, but the programme always follows the same structured phases.

What does the programme cover?

SENSA addresses:

  • neurodivergent experience and cognitive friction

  • legal duties and organisational risk

  • culture cues, masking and invisible load

  • workflow redesign and predictable routines

  • trauma-informed practice

  • leadership behaviours and communication

  • coaching, facilitation and safe boundaries

  • system-level redesign through PPP and SENSA tools - It is not a condition-by-condition “traits” course.

What are the benefits of working with Cognivance?

You gain a repeatable internal capability, not dependence on external trainers.
Cognivance provides a method backed by lived experience, psychological insight and organisational design expertise — with licensed toolkits, diagnostics and structured supervision.

What support is available after training?

SENSA includes access to updated materials, licensed toolkits and optional ongoing supervision.
Supervision is delivered in partnership with BCAP-qualified professionals to ensure psychological safety, method fidelity and responsible boundaries.

Can the SENSA Programme be adapted to our organisation?

The core eight-module curriculum remains fixed to protect fidelity, but delivery, scheduling and organisational embedding can be tailored.
Additional short courses and consultancy services are available to extend impact.
